Building Works

Allmost Finished

As the new gardening season fast approaches the finishing touches are being made to complete our latest comprehensive Garden Centre & Restaurant re-development.

The garden centre shop has increased in size by around 30%. This extension creates a more defined flow around the garden centre with a designated entrance and exit, so to exit the garden centre now you have to go through the new till bay. This extra space will allow us to stock a much larger range of home giftware, garden sundries and so much more.

Nicola and her team for the past few months have planned the new sales space and have been ordering exciting new products that will complement and extend our very popular giftware department. Our Gardening suppliers have also worked hard on your behalf to bring us a range of both new and current gardening products at the very best prices.

By enclosing the old garden centre entrance we have been able to create space for any additional 11 tables within our popular restaurant. However it doesn’t just stop there, this new area has been transformed into a stylish and comfortable contemporary dining area. Towards the beginning of the summer we hope to have completed the new toilet block on the side of the restaurant. With this facility we aim to utilise our new dining area for themed evenings throughout the year, as the restaurant can then be totally enclosed.

Our team of Chef’s are already hard at work devising a delicious menu for these evening functions.

To complement the internal refurbishments the outside has received a facelift. A new illuminated sign welcoming you to Four Seasons has been installed along with updated new road side signs.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to our new look Garden Centre, Farm Shop and Restaurant.

Christmas Showcase

Christmas Showcase

It’s going to be a very busy month as we begin our run into Christmas. To kick off with, our first ever Christmas Showcase Evening is in the diary for the 11th November from 6.00pm. The showcase evening will feature tasters from our team of master bakers, suppliers and much more!

Gary Simpson the current “Butcher of the Year” alongside James Taylor who is the “Junior Butcher of the Year” will giving a Christmas Butchery Demonstration.

Wine lovers will be in seventh heaven because our wine sommelier will be giving advice on which wines work best with particular dishes and he will also be opening a few bottles for tasting.

In our Delicatessen the team will be talking you through our new selection of Christmas Hampers which can be delivered for free to anywhere in the UK mainland. We will still be operating our famous bespoke “you choose we wrap” hamper service.

Bridget our Delicatessen Manager and her team have arranged for many of our suppliers to be here on the evening, giving you the chance to excite your taste buds with fine chocolates from Creme d'Or, dipping oils from Ownsworth’s, artisan breads from Bloomsbury, pickles jams and chutneys from Mrs Bridges and not forgetting our fantastic local and regional cheeses and produce.

The Restaurant will be open for the event so booking is highly advised. You can book your table by calling 01529 304637.

The Garden centre of course will be stocked full of beautiful Christmas decorations, gifts, Christmas lights, Christmas trees and so much more. Best of all, anyone who attends the showcase evening will receive an exclusive 10% discount off any of our Christmas decorations, artificial trees and lights on the night.

Then just when you thought it couldn’t get any better. On the night we will be offering discount cards which, will give you 10% off all purchases throughout the duration of the Garden Centre’s redevelopment works.
These works are planned to be completed by the end of February next year*. However, the real cherry on the cake is that these discount cards can be used across the entire site, including Simpson’s butchers.

 *Terms and conditions apply.
New Developments

Building Works

In mid July we shall be extending our outdoor sales area by erecting a double span canopy which will allow us to expand our current range of products.

The main entrance to the garden centre will be enclosed. An extension will be built out from the main building encompassing the grassed display area and extending out as far as the existing building threshold to create a new sales area and to add up to another 30 covers for the restaurant.

A new toilet block for the restaurant will be constructed in order to take evening bookings for functions and events.

The main building work to the front of the site will be constructed in two phases. The initial stage will begin at the end of September and end in mid November. The shell of the building will be water tight at this point. The second stage will commence in early January 2017 and the provisional completion target has been set at mid to late February 2017.
